Senior Accountant

This position encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including but not limited to; responsibility for monthly accounting procedures relating to reinsurance and accounts payable business processes, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and balance sheet and income statement reporting with analytics; active participation in the compilation of quarterly and annual statements and supporting schedules, including regulatory filings and audited financial statements, management reporting, and projects relating to process improvements and financial issue resolution.

This position requires the following; 5+ years of related experience demonstrating increasing responsibilities, strong organization skills and careful attention to detail and accuracy, understanding of statutory and/or GAAP accounting fundamentals and related financial statements, the ability to analyze complex information and formulate decisions, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
