It’s time for another #AgentSpotlight — this week, we’d like to introduce you to Northeast Insurance, who are celebrating their 30 year anniversary this year!
Northeast Insurance was founded by Mike Dube, George Faust, Stan Szajna, and Scott Bulger with the mission of pairing the most appropriate and cost-effective insurance products with the best customer service. They work to constantly exceed expectations: “We want our customers to expect the best prices while we prepare for the worst scenarios!” First opening in Auburn, they now operate out of 5 additional locations: Needham, Falmouth, Provincetown, Lexington, and Westborough. Today, Scott serves as President of Northeast Insurance working out of the Needham office while Stan is the treasurer, still working out of the Auburn office.
Northeast Insurance prides itself on the family-feel of their office and their focus on treating both employees and clients like family: “We have nearly 50 employees throughout Massachusetts, from customer service reps to producers to receptionists, but it doesn’t matter what your role is, we’re family and we’re all equal.” As a result, many of Northeast’s employees have been with the agency for 15-25 years. The longevity of their employees has also helped build trust between Northeast Insurance and their customers, which is likely why many of their customers have remained loyal to Northeast for many years — many clients prefer to visit the offices and make cash payments just to see familiar faces and catch up with the employees they’ve built bonds with over the years!
The staff at Northeast Insurance have ample experience helping both commercial and personal lines clients with their insurance needs: “We can find a place for everything, there’s usually nothing that can stump us!” Beyond this level of expertise, they also have quite the reach as they are licensed in all six New England states. For instance, if a customer who lives in Massachusetts buys a secondary home in New Hampshire, they can help with these new insurance needs, which is just another reason why so many customers choose to keep their business with Northeast.
Aside from all the work they do in their industry, Northeast Insurance is committed to giving back to the community. While they are dedicated to many local initiatives — like local youth sports, Make-A-Wish, and Relay for Life — their main focus is helping Veterans through a non-profit organization founded by Scott and his wife, Donna. The Bulgers were inspired after visiting Clear Path for Veterans New York, an organization with a strong mission to connect service members and their families to resources they need. They wanted to bring this mission to Veterans here in Massachusetts and provide support through a wellness-based Veteran’s Community Center, with particular emphasis on reconnecting Veterans to their communities upon their return home. Located in Devens, MA, they offer many programs to help Veterans transition back into regular life after their service. From peer counseling where Veterans can share their experiences with one another, to meal programs and retreats, Clear Path strives to provide Veterans and their families all the tools they need to be successful emotionally, physically and financially. They even have a dog training program that is free for Veterans but open to anyone where dogs can go through the process of becoming service dogs!
In addition to the work with Clear Path, The Bulgers and the Szajnas are very dedicated to giving back and support many Veteran organizations. They encourage and support Agency employee volunteerism and are proud of the extensive involvement in Clear Path’s work — most employees have done something with this wonderful non-profit, from attending events to assembling meal and care packages for families across the State.
