It’s time for another #AgentSpotlight — we’re pleased to introduce you to Bender Hatch Insurance, a family-owned and operated agency.
Originally founded in the early 1900s by Harold Hatch, the agency has gone on to acquire several other prestigious agencies over the years, such as the Nancy Z. Bender Insurance Agency and King and Company, an agency founded in 1869 that is the oldest running business in Charlestown, MA. Since their founding, Bender Hatch has been helping clients feel safe by offering the best individual insurance packages in the industry. Today, their team is comprised of highly trained insurance experts who are committed to providing quality service to all their customers. In keeping customer service and education a priority, the leadership at Bender Hatch supports all their employees in continued learning, many of whom ultimately earn their CPCU, AIC, and/or CIC titles. All their employees strive to uphold the motto, “we are a customer-first organization and that will never change.” With more companies moving toward automated systems, Bender Hatch believes in having a human touch to provide peace of mind when disaster strikes — as a customer, your agent will make sure you do not lose everything you have worked for.
As a whole, Bender Hatch takes a lot of pride in their business and treats their employees with the utmost respect. In turn, they see their employees on a mission to provide superior customer service, earning the longtime trust of their clients. No matter what service you may be looking for — home, auto, business, or life — a Bender Hatch agent is there to help you understand the best choices for your needs. The advice and expertise of their team set them apart from other agencies, noting that “we are happy to advise a client to do something against our bottom line if it means it is the right thing for them and their family.”
Aside from their day to day work in the office, their team is still heavily involved in the insurance industry. CEO Josiah Hatch and President Nancy Z. Bender are both Trustee Emeritus at the Insurance Liberty of Boston and Barry McMorrow is on the Agents Advisory board at Vermont Mutual. Outside the office, they are committed to giving back to their local community and partner with Roslindale Business Group to help support local businesses in the downtown Roslindale neighborhood. They also work closely with Bunkerhill Community College, Year Up, a program designed to help young adults learn skills they need to become successful members of the working world, and the Pan-Mass Challenge, an annual bike-a-thon that donates 100% of their proceeds to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
